Plant Sale Join us Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. for our Annual Auxiliary Plant Sale. The sale is at the R.J. Hilton Centre on College Avenue East. This promises to be one of our best sales ever with an eclectic selection of edibles, herbs, hard-to-find native plants and unusual exotics. This year the sale boasts hundreds of varieties of perennials and over 90 species of woody plants. The Arboretum plant sale is known for its extremely affordable prices with people lining up from across the province for the chance to take a unique plant home with them so come early for the best selection. Nuit Blanche is taking place in Guelph from dusk to dawn on Saturday, September 11, 2010. It promises to be a significant arts and culture festival in Guelph. The Social Committee invites you to take part in the event, which is described as:

Dutch landscape designer Jacqueline van der Kloet will inspire Canadians with the artistic possibilities of flower bulbs on September 16, 2010 Jacqueline van der Kloet's philosophy of a pleasant garden is a simple and clear design combined with a balanced plant scheme. Bulbs add unique colour and charm to the landscape — hear this outstanding Dutch designer's perspective in an exclusive lecture setting.
A massive planting of 10,000 bulbs on the TBG grounds will follow.

 CSLA will be On the Land in 2011! In 2011 the CSLA Congress is heading north to Canada's arctic. July 14 to 17, 2011 the CSLA will be welcomed to Iqaluit, Nunavut, the capital city of the country's newest territory. Our hosts, the Nunavut Association of Landscape Architects (NUALA) promise to make this Congress a unique and memorable one. We will explore this year's theme "On the Land" with sessions bringing you to Inuit cultural settings in the arctic landscape.
The CSLA 2011 Congress in Iqaluit is limited to 80 delegates. Registration will be on a first come basis, so reserve your place by pre-registering for Congress 2011 now.
